Classes For 2008 and Winter Workshops
Virginia Farm runs a range of classes and workshops during the year, see details below:

Weekly Spinning Classes - Tuesday
mornings, from 3rd February 2009 – 7th July, then
4th August – 1st December.
We cater for beginners to experienced spinners who wish to experiment with
fancy yarns and specialty fibres such as silk. It is preferable to learn on your own
wheel, but we can hire you a wheel until you are sure of the type you
like. .
Where : Virginia Farm Wool Works,
When : Tuesdays 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 , with a coffee break.
– $15 per lesson Fleece/fibre used in
class is charged extra, or you may like to
provide your own.
Wheel Hire : Take-
home hire is $3 per week, with a refundable deposit required. Wheels may be used
during classes without charge and other
equipment is available for general use

Weaving – A social
weaving group meets monthly. Email for
dates and information.

Saturday 8th August – Filagree
Felt – tutor Janet Page. (Booked out, wait list
only) Learn how to design and make
filagree silk scarves and wraps which are ideal as a
fashion accessory or a gift. 9:30 –
4:30. Cost $66 plus a hemmed silk scarf
(available from $8.80)
and fine Merino/Silk top.
