Virginia Farm
runs a range of classes and workshops during the year, see details below:

We cater for beginners to experienced spinners who wish to experiment
with fancy yarns and specialty fibres such as silk. It is preferable to learn on your own
wheel, but we can hire you a wheel until you are sure of the type you
like. Some used wheels are available for
sale.
Where : Virginia Farm Wool Works,
Wheel Hire : Take-
home hire is $3 per week, with a $100 refundable deposit required. Wheels may
be used during classes without charge
and other equipment is available for general use.

Weaving A social weaving group meets monthly, currently last Friday of the month, except March (22nd). Email for dates and information.

your World with Felted Shibori
Saturday,
18th & Sunday 19th May Tutor: Rae Woolnough
(as featured on Channel 74 ME)
Shibori is tie-dying creating patterns by using a resist and
then overdyeing. We will hand dye silk
fabric as a base cloth then nuno felt onto the silk, and finally Shibori the
felt to make jewellery, wearables and artworks. This workshop, while exploring advanced
techniques, is still suitable for people with little experience of felting or
dyeing as step by step guidance will be given.
